The Marionette is a break dance show created by Expression Crew, a Korean B-boy team recognized worldwide for their pioneering break dancing skills. The show features a moving love story between a marionette doll and a girl with a red hat. Two very different genres of performing arts, break dancing and puppet show, are brought together through Expression Crew’s inspiring motions and gestures to be recreated as a b-boy musical show. A breathtaking stage of powerful, emotional dance moves is combined with stunning music to portray a series of scenes about love, dreams, conflicts, forgiveness, frustration, and challenge.

Lee Woo-sung, the leader of Expression Crew, expresses through this show his lifetime experiences of curiosity, conflicts, adversity, pain and love acquired through his life as a dancer, and the power of challenge and creation. The Marionette held its debut show on Daehangno Street in September 2006, and is currently running at 63 Art Hall in Yeouido with an upgraded performance and story.
